Today’s show focuses on my five-day Mazatlán media trip organized by Ogilvy Public Relations. The official name of the trip was the Mazatlán Culinary Roots Press Trip. There were 8 of us on the trip and we were a mix of editors, journalists and bloggers.

Here is a break down of who was on the trip:

Jordan G. Teicher, a freelance journalist and critic based in Brooklyn who makes a full time living as a journalist and writes for Slate, Wired, The Washington Post, Gothamist, NPR, The Los Angeles Review of Books. He can be found on Twitter @teicherj

Maria Hunt, the former food critic for the San Diego Union Tribune and was on the trip as a writer for Forbes Travel. She is also the author of The Bubbly Bar; A champagne & sparkling wine cocktail cookbook. Maria can be found on twitter @thebubblygirl

Also on the trip was Deputy Editor of the tastingtable.com, Ryan Grim. BTW, they are currently looking for a Food Editor at the Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Rachel Krause, who happens to be Ryan’s Significant other and works for StyleCaster—which is a fashion and lifestyle website was also a member of our group.

The remainder of the group were bloggers – myself and Tracy Iseminger have our own blogs—my travel blog is 52 Perfect Days and Tracy’s is Daily Dish Magazine. Tracy also writes for Examiner.com and Answers.com. Tracy can be found on Twitter @foodfriendsfri

The final two making up the media trip were Scott Laird; who has a full time gig with Southwest Airlines and writes for examiner.com Scott can be found on twitter @AbFabSkyLife
